Orange-banded!

It may not be obvious from the photograph (top), but on September 18, 1999 I spotted an individual (basking on a touch-me-not plant near the river) whose band was not red at all, but bright orange! I'm not sure how unusual that really is, but I've seen many of this species around here, and they've all been quite red.
